Term 5 - Judaism. We have now consolidated all our research and learning about this faith and collated it all into one booklet. Every child produced their own booklet which includes a front cover, contents page and then individual pages covering all the childrens learning.
Continuing on with Judaism, we have learnt about Jewish festivals, rituals and made our own "Shofar" horns. These are used in many ceremonies and are traditionally made out of ram's horns.
Judaism - We have started our new topic off with some research about the Menorah Candle and its meaning to the Jewish faith. We then used wax crayons to cover our paper and then carved the Menorah Candle in using the end of a spoon.
Year 6 have been learning how to find chapters and verses in the bible and to know that the parables have meanings. Towards the end of the term they were learning about the real meaning of Christmas and the Christingle celebration. They made their own Christingle and learnt what each part of the decoration represented.
